This is a one of a little group of novelty glasses that I am listing. I have had all of these for a very long time - and just found in a box all packed away - so they are completely fresh to the market.
This set is made up of two pairs. Each pair has matching images - one pair shows cocks fighting and the other pair shows a triumphant rooster. I have photographed each glass for your inspection
They all date to the 1930s / 1940s at the latest. They are now rather collectable and have these priced at £8 each glass - this is a fair price.
This set consists of the four little stemmed glasses for liqueurs or wee drams. The decoration is all hand-painted with enamels. Each glasses has nice bands of gold or green on the rim and on the rim of the foot.
Dimensions: The two slightly smaller ones are 4 1/8 inches in height - and with a rim of 2 3/4 inches and a foot of 2 1/4 inches. The larger ones as 4 1/4 inches in height and with a rim of 3 1/8 inches and the foot is also 2 1/4 inches.
All the items here are in good vintage condition - there are no damages or chips. All the paintwork to the images is in good condition. They probably date to the 1930s - when these type of glasses for cocktails were very popular.
I have taken lots of images for your inspection here - please look at all of these carefully as they form part of my description.
