This is a fine piece of British studio glass, probably by Stevens and Williams / Royal Brierley and dating to the 1930s.
It is called "threaded glass" - as the clear glass body has little threads or trails of aquamarine blue glass - pulled through it. It also has an extra embellishment - being covered with lots of oval-shaped dimples, sometimes referred to as a golf ball pattern.
The vase is of ovoid shape and is about 8 inches in height, and with a diameter of 6 inches at its widest part. Unpacked it is 1 kg in weight.
In good vintage condition with no chips or cracks.
Looks nice on display with light behind it which brings of the detail of the threads.
I have another version of this vase also listed in my store - but with pink stripes in the glass instead of the blue.
Fair price for this fine British Art Deco art glass vase. I will have to send it with Parcelforce24 so that I can carefully pack in a large sturdy box to keep it safe in transit. This will be applied to your order at the checkout.
