This is a fine mid-century 1930s or 1940s glass plafonnier lampshade.
It has an opaque mottled pretty sugar pink main body colour. There are little areas of coloured brown swirls in the glass - and this reminds me a little of toffee swirls that you might find in caramel ice cream. It has a nice shape with stepped rings on the bottom of the shade giving further interest to it. The pink colour gives a nice warm glow to your interior when lit up.
I have taken a lot of images for your inspection.
It is called a goldfish bowl shade - and is also known by its cheeky nickname a "flycatcher" shade. The shade comes complete with chains that attach onto the hooks on the shade.
The shade is in excellent condition with no nasty chips or cracks in the glass. It is a nice larger size - it has a diameter of 13 1/2 inches and a height of 5 inches. The interior aperture inside is 10 inches.
