This is a dainty little pair of Carlton Ware dishes.

They form a matching pair - and the set consists of two little dishes: one for butter and one for jam - so put on your breakfast table.

The dishes come with a little ceramic butter spreader and a ceramic jam spoon - each with floral finials which match the blue and pink flowers on the side of each dish. The spoon and spreader is often lost of broken - so rare to find these still present and intact.

The dishes have flowers on the rim - and they look a little like hydrangeas or wallflowers - so again a more unusual and harder to source pattern.

They are annotated as being the Australian Design.

They come in their original vintage early 1950s box - they box is slightly shabby chic - but generally in fine condition.

They are in good condition with no chips or cracks - the glaze on the base is thickly applied - and there is a tiny cracking to this thick glaze - but only noticeable on close up inspection (only on one dish).

Diameter of each dish at widest is 11.5 cm

Length of butter knife and spoon is 11 cm.
