This is a rare survivor by the Italian company Ceramica Di Milano (as marked on the base).
It is a little miniature ice pail which you place on your cocktail cabinet or bar top and fill with ice.
It has its little original removable ceramic insert in the base of the pail (very often these are lost over time) - and it has a swing handle made of cane and covered with a tight wrap of white plastic - all lovely and clean and without damage.
It is not an ice bucket - but a pail and it would never have had a lid - so that is not missing.
The decoration on the front is typical of Ceramica di Milano pieces- which often shows 1950s stylised glamourous ladies -
You more often find the companies lidded storage pots - so a cocktail accessory is very very hard to source - especially in near pristine condition - like it was made yesterday and not in the 50s!
The main body of the pail is 5 ¼ inches. The diameter at the top is the same. Height including handle is 10 ¼ inches.
Given the rarity of the object - the more unusual group illustration on the front - and its marvellous condition - my asking price is (as usual) a most fair one! You will have to look long and hard to find another one...
