This is a cute little wall plaque which would look very sweet in a child's bedroom - or perhaps in the sitting room of a country cottage.
It is made of ceramic (not chalkware) and dates to around the 1950s.
Sadly - it is unsigned and with no maker's mark - so hard to say who made it. It certainly has an Art Deco feel to it - but I think that this is slightly later in date, With the use of matt bisque and glossy glazes on the front - it is a little reminiscent of cute wall plaques made by Hummel.
All the same - it is very sweet and can't find another like it.
With all those little tulips and stylized stripes in the foreground representing the springtime bulb fields in Holland. In the distance is a tiny representation of a windmill - it would make a lovely Easter gift. It is a rare survivor and you wont find another one like this so easily.
As you can see from my photographs - in lovely condition with no chips or cracks. No restorations or damages.
To hang just tap a little fine nail into your wall and there is a hold on the back which sits on your nail.
Width - about 6 1/2 inches. Height is about 4 1/4 inches.
