I have a selection of these vintage pieces of Fjord cutlery listed on my site.
Fjord cutlery designed by Jens Quistgaard in 1953 and made by Dansk. These are earlier piece that were made in Germany before production moved to Denmark. Each piece is marked with the Dansk Germany mark and Quistgaard monogram as photographed. They are very collectable and are pieces of classic modern design.
They are stainless steel with waxed teak handles. This is a matched set of six spreading or dinner knives. They are in good vintage condition. CARE: Given that the handle is made of wood - please note that they should be carefully washed by hand after use. They should not be allowed to soak in water. The wood should occasionally be waxed or oiled to keep them waterproof.
These are fine dinner knives- the are 8 1/4 inches in length. The blades are not sharp - so not good for cutting tough items - perhaps with more of a spreading, fish or dessert function. The teak handles are in good condition. Firmly attached to the steel and with no splits or cracking. The steel is satin finished with some signs of use (they are now nearly 75 years old!) but no nasty or disfiguring scratches or marks. The ones are my photographs are the ones that will be sent to you.
I am listing each knife at £20 - I also have another pair that I am listing separately.
They will be sent to you with Royal Mail Tracked24. This is a tracked and signed for service and will be applied to your order at the checkout.
