This an attractive larger Scottish glass paperweight. As you can see it is beautifully made and was created by Strathearn Glass (I think). The glass used in the crown is a little greyer in tone, so it might be a slightly earlier Vasart weight.
My Scottish weight has an black base colour. The canes are beautifully placed with nice fine and thick criss-cross latticino ribbons which radiate as spokes from the central rosette.
The millefiori rosette in the centre is orange-red and yetllowThe latticino ribbons are white. Between each one there are more millefiori canes in lemon yellow, and matching orange-red.
A very attractive vintage Scottish glass paperweight in excellent condition with no chips or scratches.
It measures 2 1/4 inches in height with a diameter of 3 inches. It is a larger size and this is reflected in my asking price. It is in excellent condition with no damages.
