This is a lovely large Swedish hand decorated bowl dating to the late 1950s or early 1960s.
It has a fine image of a colourful flower head on the interior of the bowl with incised lines giving texture to the design.
The decoration is all hand-painted so this is a quite unique piece.
There is an impressed stamp on the base but sadly the thick white glaze has filled in this stamp making it hard to make out what it reads. I am sure that this is the mark for the Swedish Laholm pottery.
A stunning bowl and a nice large size measuring about 10 inches in diameter and with a height of about 2 1/2 inches. Great piece for display on mid-century Danish furniture.
