This is a rather unusual and rare vintage item.
It is a vintage box containing a selection of ten printed and mounted on card flat models of little soldiers. The little card figures all stand on wee wooden stands.
The sides of the box are made of card and the lid is tin. It is designed to look like the tower of a fort. There are little printed images of canon on the top of the lid.
The military figures are not all in totally perfect condition - but are all fairly nice and display well. They are about 70 years old now.
They are not dated but on stylistic grounds - they probably date from the early 1950s.
The word “Mascot” appears on the side of the tin, depicted on a flag which is carried by a little dog.
There are a total of ten small figures & the container.
This is a hard to find items and probably for the more specialist collector.
I have never seen another set like this before.
