This is an interesting commemorative crystal plaque or medallion from the 1950s or 1960s. It was made in North Bohemia or Czechoslovakia.
It is inscribed around the rim: Severocesky Kraj / CSSR
Severocesky Kraj, is also known as the Liberec Region in the Czech Republic. The area is a historical region where a significant portion of Bohemian glass production takes place.
The roundel comes in its original presentation box - the box corner have tears - but apart from that it is generally fine. The glass medallion is in perfect condition.
The plaque shows an abstract industrial scene, perhaps one of the regions glassworks. The Brutalist depiction of the scene reminds me a little of similar designs by the Scottish artist, Eduardo Paolozzi.
