This plate is the smallest of the 1960S Chelsea pieces that I am listing on my webstore. I have another slightly larger one also listed - but the horse on that has a blue mane and tail.
It shows a stylised prancing horse. The horse has a mustard-coloured saddle and a flowing white mane and tail. The horse is painted with a very glossy paint and then fired. It is hand-decorated and is such a sweet piece of mid-century Art Pottery. I love the horses little "twiggy" legs. The quality of the painting would suggest that it might be a piece by Joyce Morgan. There may be a little fine illegible signature in black on the front of the plate.
It is in perfect condition with no damage. It is signed on the base, as photographed. These vintage horse designs are harder ones to find - and this is reflected in my asking price.
The diameter is just over 5 inches.
The plate will be posted in the UK with Royal Mail Recorded (Small Parcel) mail. This will be applied to your order at the checkout.
