This is a collectable vintage Sommerso geode Italian glass bowl. It is in just excellent clean condition with no signs of use and no damage of any kind.
I love these little geometric chunky bowls.
This one is very stylish. with an interior colour is of a attractive golden amber shade. It is cased on the outside with a thick layer of crystal clear glass. It is faceted all around the outside - the glass cut and polished to form elongated diamond shapes - there are four in total around the base - and above another 4 half diamonds. The base of this glass bowl is textured with a raised grid pattern, as photographed.
It has been a little tricky to photograph with all the angles in this piece - any white marks in my photographs are not on the glass - but are simply reflections.
A nice size for display - measuring 5 inches in diameter and with a height of approximately 3 inches.
