This is a lovely little vintage Sommerso geode Italian glass bowl. It is in just excellent clean condition with no signs of use and no damage of any kind.
I love these little geometric chunky bowls. This one is of a more simple shape. It is generally square in shape but with nice tactile curved corners. It feels very nice sitting in the palm of your hand.
The interior colour is a dark kingfisher blue and the outside with a thick layer of crystal clear glass - which seems to have a little tinge of a yellow appearing in it.
A more petite size for display - measuring 4 inches square with a height of 2 inches.
It is in good vintage condition with no chips or cracks. It has a wee indentation to one side near the rim - this little dent was created in the making - perhaps left by a finger pressing on the warm glass. You cannot see this on display - and it comes at a reduced price to take this flaw into consideration.
It is a fine addition to any collection of sommerso glass. I have added a wee snap of this bowl beside another faceted oval shaped one that I am also listing.
