This is a pair of little Norwegian Figgjo Flint pottery nursery or baby bowls. They date to around the 1960s.
Each is in good vintage condition with no rubbing to the images.
One bowl features a comical elephant. He is out in the rain and splashing in a puddle. He removes his rainhat and sprinkles his head with water from the puddle below his feet. I love the illustrations of all the little elephants cavorting around the raised rim of the bowl. The other bowl features a little comical bear dressed as a sailor. The sits in a little round red boat and is fishing. Two seagulls are in the sky above. The raised rim on this one has a more simple pattern of blue flowers.
Each bowl is 6 inches in diameter and has a height of 1 1/2 inches.
