This an attractive red 1960s vase - it is decorated all over a thick glossy red glaze.
The red glaze is very shiny indeed and accounts for all the white reflective flashes in my photographs.
It has a geometric abstract decoration, similar to that which you might find on Bitossi pieces of the same period, The pattern has impressed oblong shaped lozenges in three bands - one to the bottom, another to the sloping section of the neck and the last around the rim.
In between, there are other raised patterns with square-diamond shaped and dots at each corner.
The decoration has all been hand painted in a black tone.
Condition: the vase is in good vintage condition with no chips or cracks.
A lovely larger display piece.
There is no distinctive mark on the base - but there seems to be a light word under the thick red glaze here - it looks to me like it says in a painted script: Italy (nothing else and it is very indistinct).
Dimensions: Height is 7 3/4 inches - and the diameter is 5 1/2 inches.
Weight unpacked is 1 kg.
A little larger so needs to be sent in a Royal Mail Medium Sized Parcel - tracked and signed for.
