This is a lovely stylish set of 20th Century Scottish Glass.
This is collectable "space age" set is a lovely subtle brown colour called Peat and the design is called Stroma. The set was designed by Domhnall O'Broin in 1962.
This range was highly successful and its stylish minimal forms look just as good today as the day they were made.
The Stroma design with matching glasses is harder to find today - indeed the set was discontinued and no longer produced as far back as 1972.
The set on offer here - consists of the slim decanter and six matching glasses. The design is obviously influenced by Scandinavian glassware (Holmegaard glassware by Per Lutken springs to mind) and these would look great on a rosewood or teak sideboard or Ladderex cabinet in your interior.
The height of the decanter is 13 inches, with a base diameter of 3 inches. Glasses are 4 inches in height. The diameter of the foot is 1 3/4 inches.
All pieces are in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or scratches.
No clouding to the interior of the decanter.
