This is a wee collectable set of Scottish space-age glassware. It is one of two sets that I am listing - this one and another peat coloured set.
This decorative set consistis of the mimimalistic decanter and five little glasses - suitable for port, a liqueur, or heavens above for a wee dram!
They are funky glasswares from the Canisbay series and were designed by Colin Terris in 1972 for Caithness Glass.
The glasses are a light lilac or purple tinged colour. The colour is called Heather. There were three colours in this range - the peat (brown shade), soot (grey) and heather (this pale purple hue). The shape of all these glasswares is futuristic in feel and the glasses sit just right nice in the hand.
There is a nice set of five wee dram glasses on offer here - and each of these measures 4 inches in height. There are slight differences to all the glasses - as they are all hand-blown and slight differences are to be expected. All in good condition with no damages.
The four little liqueur or port glasses come with the decanter - to serve your favourite tipples from if you are being more formal or posh! This range was designed by the Scottish glass maestro, Colin Terris. He often looked to Scandinavian design for inspiration for his own creations.
The Canisbay decanter also by Colin Terris looks delightful with the wee glasses. It has a round hand-blown hollow stopper.
It is also in excellent condition - and measures 12 inches in height (including stopper) with a diameter of 4 3/4 inches at the widest part.
The set will be sent to you with Royal Mail Tracked (Medium Parcel). This will be applied to your order at the checktout
