This is a gorgeous vintage Scottish paperweight. It is made by Perthshire Paperweights. It has its original paper label on the base.
This is a really beautiful example and this is reflected in my asking price. It has a grand total of fourteen pink and blue twist spokes and all the tiny millefiori canes. It must have taken a very long time and great skill to make.
It is a larger size, measuring about 2 inches in height and with a diameter at the widest point of about 3 inches.
The ground is a pretty pale pastel blue colour with ground and polished pontil. As mentioned it has a total of fourteen spokes which issues from the central rosette.
The central rosette is made of tiny white and peppermint millefiori canes. There is a plain blue cane in the centre (no P cane_. There are canes in each section between the spokes - these are blue, lilac, pink and green. Again, as you often find with Perthshire weights, all the coloured canes are very subtle and attractive pastel shades. As you can see it is a most intricate and exquisite weight. All the canes and latticino twists are very fine indeed.
It is in fine vintage condition for display with no chips or cracks. A really attractive Scottish paperweight and a top-quality example.
