These wee stoneware pieces are much harder to find.
This is an Olympus Design vase - a lovely shape with a tall chimney-shaped neck - and around the top of the body is an abstracted pattern of oranges, little lemons and spear-shaped green leaves - to me rather reminiscent of Glasgow School stained glass windows by EA Taylor.
This lovely vase dates from 1977 and was designed by Ros Sommersfelt.
It is marked to the base POOLE STONEWARE ENGLAND.
A really stylish vase - and probably an item for a specialist Poole collector, as these don't turn up on the market too often. The more muted tones possibly not so appealing to the marketplace when first produced, so not many were sold.
However, they would certainly look fantastic on stylish teak or rosewood furniture.
A nice size - being some 6 inches in height.
