This is a pretty larger-sized coffee mug that was issued in 1975. It was designed by the Danish ceramic artist, Bjorn Wiinblad (1918 - 2006) for Rosenthal, Germany.
This is a large chunky mug that is decorated with comical illustrations by Wiinblad. The illustrations are part of a series that depicts the antics of Till Eulenspiegel. He was a jester who first appeared in a 16th-Century German chapbook. Here, Eulenspiegel is at Erfurt University and has been given a job teaching a donkey or jackass to read.
Dimensions: The height is 4 1/2 inches and the diameter is 4 inches. The weight unpacked is 600 grams.
This little mug has a little raised Rosenthal Studio Line mark on the base, as photographed. It is in excellent vintage condition with no damages.
