The Squeeze design is an unusual piece of Swedish glass produced by Orrefors. It was created in the late 1990s by the artist by accident when she accidently squashed a section of a piece of glass that she was making - and decided to try and replicate the form in the studio.
The Squeeze design has asymmterical indentations in the main body of the glass. On offer here I have a decanter and a tumbler (both in original Orrefors retail boxes). They seem to be more difficult items to find in this design. The flower vases were more successful and you can still find these more readily. The Squeeze collection won the prestigious Excellent Swedish Design Award in 1997.
The decanter and glasses are now quite rare. They are not available on the Orrefors online store - so I suspect that they are both discontined.
They are probably for collector's of special limited edition Orrefors designs. They both come boxed with a little leaflet inside. The manufacturer and design details are noted on a label on the side of the boxes.
I have taken lots of images for your inspection - it has been hard to photograph the indentations as they are quite subtle. The decanter looks a little like a crystal skittle and has a chunky bullet shape stopper - the glass tumbler is an old fashioned shape. Both items are listed for sale.
They will be sent to you with Royal Mail Medium Parcel Tracked. It will have to be the over 2kg weight - as the glasswares and original boxes have a bit of weight to them. This will be applied to your order at the checkout.
