This is a fine old Art Deco 1930s glass plafonnier lampshade.
It is an opaque white colour - which is speckled in the glass with tutti-frutti colours - mainly random spots of lime greens and pale purple splatters.
This one is particularly nice - as the speckling is very busy with subtle mottling all over.
Come with hanging chains and the original hooks or fittings on the shade - as photographed.
It is called a goldfish bowl shade - and is also known by its cheeky nickname as a "flycatcher" shade.
This one is in good vintage condition.
The shade would also need a wee fitting with a hook for you to hang the shade chains from your ceiling rose - very easy to source at a DIY store or online.
The shade is in excellent condition with no chips, nibbles or cracks.
It is a nice larger size - it has a diameter of 13 3/4 inches and has a height of 5 3/4 inches. The three chains are of a shorter length; each one is 15 inches long - so suitable for houses with a lower ceiling height. Longer chains (if required) can easily be purchased quite cheaply online.
