I love this sweet little piece of vintage kitchenalia.
It is an unusual little lidded pot made of cast iron with a bright yellow enamel
exterior. The interior is a warm cream colour.
I adore the little handles on each side and the cute knop on the top of the lid.
This wee pot goes by the name of a "bean pot".
It was made in France by Cousances (the forerunner of Le Creuset).
It is marked COUSANCES on the underside of the lid.
Dimensions: Height is 5 3/4 inches and with a diameter of 6 inches.
Unpacked the weight is 1.6 kg - so a good bit of weight to it.
It is a vintage pot - and highly collectable. It is quite rare to find these in this vibrant yellow shade - and with no chips to the enamel). This is reflected in my asking price.
It is in pretty good condition (has had occasional use) - but clean inside no staining or losses to the yellow enamel. There is a mark to the black iron finish on the base of the pot - with age. But as you might expect on an old cast iron piece.
Have taken lots of images for your inspection - please check all these out.
POSTAGE TO THE UK ONLY. Due to the size and weight - it will have to be sent to you with Parcelforce48. This will cost about £10 and tracked. The postage will be applied at check-out stage.
