This is a fine pair of miniature Victorian Staffordshire Dogs or Chimney Spaniels.
I also have a single left-hand side dog of the same size - but more of a lighter toffee-coloured glaze available separately in my online shop.
They are in excellent antique condition with no damages - and date to around the 1880s (perhaps earlier).
They are made of a more unusual red clay and decorated with a brown gleaming salt glaze - which is commonly called a Treacle Glaze.
These cute miniature ones are harder to find - especially made of red clay.
Dimensions: Height 6 ½ inches. The width is 4 ½ inches and the depth is 2 ½ inches.
The pair weigh unpacked: just under 1kg.
Have taken lots of photographs for your inspection.
They are genuine antique dogs - and NOT modern reproductions.
Fairly priced for these harder-to-find miniature models - probably items for the more specialist collector.
