This is a lovely antique cast brass table lamp in the style of lamps designed by WAS Benson. This lamp is English in origin though, but is a top-quality one!
It has three undulating paw feet. The lamp up-stand is decorative with three shaped globular nodules towards the bottom. At the top - there is an adjustable joint - which allows you to angle the shade. It can hace directly upwards - or at angles. The joint is tightened with a little wing nut or screw.
The lamp comes complete with a genuine Edwardian vaseline shade. This has an acid yellow colour at the bulb holder area - and this changes to a more opaque creamy yellow at the tips. The edge of the shade is ruffled with decorative frills. These are in perfect condition with no chips or cracks.
So on offer is a lovely antique heavy brass table lamp and fine Vaseline shade.
Dimensions: The maximum height (when fully upright) including shade is 20 3/4 inches. The diameter of the pads at the base as 7 1/4 inches. The height of the brass section of the lamp (minus shade) is 17 1/2 inches. The shade is 4 inches high and has a diameter of 6 inches.
The lamp has been recently re-wired for your safety. It has a black cloth three-core (earthed) cable. It also has a new safety bulb holder.
This is certainly a stunning lamp - and in fabulous condition.
