This is a rather rare survivor from the start of the 20th century.
It is an old wooden play block or skittle which would have been in a little Edwardian child's nursery.
The play block is made of wood and on each side has a chromolithograph image of Puss in Boots - and might have been one of a set of pantomime characters.
It is certainly now quite rare - and I cant find another quite like it.
The model can be stood by for display - and it is certainly highly decorative.
The image is the same on both sides - one side is a little more rubbed, as photographed.
Not quite sure what the naughty cat is doing with that little rabbit... but Edwardian's saw nature a bit more red in tooth and nail!
Love his big cavalier boots!
Great Christmas gift - if you are missing your pantomime this year.
