This is a very rare and amazing antique figurine of a pug dog.
It is life size and measures some 13 1/2 inches in height and is 6 3/4 inches wide.
This is a genuine antique model and dates to the late 19th century.
It is a slip cast pottery model which was probably made in one of the Staffordshire factories c 1880.
As you can see - it is in perfect condition with no damages.
I love its funny face - with little teeth sticking out from his bottom lip.
A nice tan colour with black stripe down his back, black paws and muzzle.
Cute wee curly pug tail to the rear.
He has been made from a mould - and I have been able to find another made from the same mould - interestingly for sale with a dealer in California, Stateside - where they are looking at S550 dollars (about £420) for their one. The American one is grey in tone and has glass eyes - but apart from that exactly the same.
Sadly - I would have to limit the postage of my Mr Pug to UK posting only.
Listed my one at a bargain price - only one available... so if you want him....
