This finely modelled group features two drunken gentlemen making their way home from a night out at the pub. It is a comical scene, as both stagger about and hold each other up. The name of the figure group is the Parson and the Clerk (or Nightwatchman). The Parson holds a bottle of ale and the Clerk holds a lantern.
It is in lovely condition with no damages. The figures stand on a base with a mottled "marbled" brown and green base. There are scrolls highlighted with pink lustre to the front. The base is concave and it has a little area of craquelure towards the edge, as photographed.
There is a twin branched tree stump to the back of the figures - which acts as a support to the model.
My figurine measures: 8 1/2 inches (21.5 cm) in height. The width of the base is 7 inches (18 cm). The depth is 3 3.4 inches (9.5 cm). It is just over 1 kg in weight.
A great display piece - would look great in a county pub!
