I love this fabulous little Staffordshire figurine featuring a pair of little King Charles Spaniels Perched on top of a barrel.
They are genuine Victorian examples, and definitely NOT reproductions.
Probably dating to around the 1860s or 1870s.
This one displays well - as you can see in my photographs. However, it has a bit of a condition problem - on the back of the model is a network of firing cracks to the glaze / craquelure marks. These are not cracks on the figure - but confined to the glaze and are stable. You cannot see them when the figurine is on display - I also have another model in better condition - reflected in the price.
However, this remains a very attractive figurine and will look fabulous on a country kitchen dresser or on a fireplace in a Victorian parlour.
These examples are a little harder to find, especially in such lovely condition.
They are being sold as antique pieces - and if you disagree with the dating of them, please remember that I do offer a full money-back guarantee on all my items if you are not happy with them.
Height: 8 1/4 inches. Width: 6 1/4 inches. Depth about 2 inches.
