This is a pretty antique glass vase made by Stuart and Sons, Stourbridge.
It is a lovely tall trumpet shape that sits on a circular foot or pedestal. It has made of iridescent pale yellow vaseline glass with four applied peacock trails, as photographed.
Dimensions: it is 8 inches (20 cm) in height. The foot measures just under 4 inches and the rim is 4 3/4 inches.
It is not signed - but the shape and applied peacock trails or tadpoles are consistent with those used on Edwardian pieces of Stuart glass wares.
I have taken lots of photographs for your inspection and interest.
Stuart and Sons are renowned for this style of whiplash decoration with glass cairngorm inclusions, and there are many documented examples. They were based in Stourbridge where other well-known British glassmakers were also founded such as Stevens & Williams, Thomas Webb, and Richardson.
This attractive Art Nouveau vase is in excellent condition with no damage. It is a great addition to your collection of antique early 20th Century glass.
