This is an attractive antique 19th century Staffordshire figurine, and it dates to around the 1880s.
The figurine consists of a Scottish lady - she wears a full skirt and three quarter length jacket - underneath which is a laced up bodice. She wears a round bonnet.
She has been working on in a vineyard - and has been picking grapes. She takes a rest from her toils and rests her arm on tree stump, her basket full of grapes at her feet. She certainly has been out in the sun - and has ruddy cheeks.
This is a pretty example and is in good condition with no damages. Perhaps a little craquelure to the glaze which is commensurate with age - and only notiecable on close up inspection.
Dimensions: Height is 8 inches. Width is 3 inches and the Depth is 2 1/4 inches.
Unpacked the figurine weights in at: 300 grams.
