This is a cute antique 19th century Staffordshire figurine, and it dates to around the 1880s.
It is quite naive in its modelling - and does not have the same attention to detail as some other examples - this is reflected in my low asking price.
The figurine features a Victorian couple out for a walk. The gentleman wears a pink waistcoat and has knee-length breeches. The lady wears a shawl over her head - and has a dress covered in a pattern of little dots. Both carry little cornucopia with an orange and blue flower on the top of each one.
This is a pretty example and is in fairly good condition. It has no damages to the main body of the figurine. There is a long, fine hairline crack to the back, as photographed in my last image - this is commensurate with age - but has remained stable for decades.
Dimensions: Height is 9 inches. Width is 6 inches and the depth is 2 1/4inches.
