This is a fine piece of Ruska Pottery - which is made of a chunky stoneware and has a rustic mottled matt brown glaze.
It will have to be for posting in the UK only - as each piece is so substantial that it might make international posting prohibitively expensive.
This is a much harder to find large oval-shaped Ruska serving platter or shallow bowl - it dates from the early 1960s and was designed by the celebrated Finnish designer Ulla Procope.
This is a great piece for a mid-century interior.
Arabia Pottery is always made to the best quality - and these Ruska pieces are quite exceptional.
My platter has white Arabia mark to the base, as photographed.
It is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks. Of course, it is sold nice and clean and ready to use.
Height is a stonking 14 inches in length. It has a width of 9 3/4 inches and the height is about 1 3/4 inches.
