This is a harder to find piece of Ruska pottery.
It is a large bowl with a fluted rim - and exceptionally large size.
The diameter is 10 ¼ inches and the height is 2 ½ inches
I think that it might be a fruit bowl - or just a fabulous decorative piece.
Fine chunky stoneware with a rustic mottled matt brown glaze.
These might have to be for posting in the UK only - as it is so substantial that it might make international posting prohibitively expensive.
This bowl dates from the early 1960s and was designed by the celebrated Finnish designer Ulla Procope.
This is a great piece for a mid-century interior.
Arabia Pottery is always made to the best quality - and Ruska pieces are quite exceptional.
It is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks.
