I have owned this strange piece of Art Pottery for many years now - oh! probably from the late 1990s - and it was a vintage piece then - I always thought that it dated from the late 1960s to the mid-1970s on stylistic grounds.
It is a very large size - and looks quite stunning on display.
It has an overall height of about 25.5 cm - and with a diameter of around 26 cm. The diameter of the foot section is 14 cm and the tallest chimney section measures 8 cm.
It is very sculptural and quite a space-age in form - the main body shape reminds me of a flying saucer that has a number of graduated chimneys applied to the top section.
The colours are a muted olive to the bottom and a drab petrol blue to the top section - with a slight sheen from the eggshell glaze.
It has been in my bedroom since I moved into my house in the year 2000 - but I have been moving things around - and think that it really needs to go on show somewhere where it can sit on its own with some more space around it.
It will look fabulous in a more minimalistic room with a futuristic interior design theme.
It is unsigned - so even after all this time, I don't know who has made this - it looks like there may have been a stamp on the base with maker details - but this is flooded with glaze colours and it is quite illegible.
Sadly, due to weight and size - I would be unable to post it outside of the UK. Will be sent to you with Parcelforce 48 - the price for postage takes into account its size and weight.
