This is a very attractive vintage Norwegian Plate - with a stylised abstract pattern.
This reminds me a little of a cross between a snowflake and a repeat of little Christmas trees.
The Elle Pottery was started in 1942 in Torkildstranda in Drøbak near Oslo. It was lead by Tor Samuelsen. They produced beautiful stylised designs right up until 1967.
Elle pieces are now starting to become highly collectable:
It is made of a thicker stoneware type of ceramic.
A great larger size for display - with a diameter of about 9 1/2 inches.
Would look great hung on a wall in a Scandi-modern interior - or on display on a coffee table.
Weight unpacked: 600 grams
