This is a lovely piece of vintage Murano glass - which is attributed to Barovier & Toso. It is very typical of their fabulous designs from the late 1960s and early 1970s. As you can see from my photographs, it is very pretty in form and colours.
The bowl has two rolled-down finger shapes on the center of each longer side - which look very decorative - but also formed little rests for a cigarette in the past. Of course - the bowl is now lovely and clean and there is certainly no evidence of it ever having been used as an ashtray.
It is certainly a very decorative piece of Italian glass - to me, it looks a little like a clear and cranberry-pink striped clamshell.
The glass is very thick with a spiral of cerise glass running right through it all. They call this kind of inclusion a spider's web.
It measures 6 inches at the longest and across it is 4 inches. The height is 2 1/4 inches.
It is in good vintage condition. The weight unpacked is nearly 600 grams.
