This is a really beautiful evening bag or purse. You would have to look hard to find one better! It is a stunning and perfect bag for a wedding, night at the opera or theatre, Christmas party or another special celebration.
It a good size - and you would be able to keep a mobile phone in it, some power, cards and lipstick etc. It certainly would hold lots of smaller personal items for your special night out. It can be used as a clutch or held at your side from the little short-length handle.
Dimensions: . The width of the wee bag is 8 inches. The height is 5 1/2 inches. The overall height of the main body and carrying chain is 9 3/4 inches.
The main body of the bag is made of good quality vintage black satin - this is covered all over with a mesh of diamante or rhinestones. These are not glued onto the surface - but inset into a fine metal structure or wee cups. This is a sign of quality. The stones have a lot of twinkle to them - and glitter in the light. The bag is certainly the most eye-catching one. The clasp is raised up with a flip motion to open the bag.
The interior is also a rich jet-black satin. It has two little pockets inside - both edged with a gold-coloured stringing. One still has its original mirror. The interior is pristine and it looks like the bag has never been used.
There are no missing crystals or rhinestones. It is in such good vintage condition - and now nearly 70 years old. It is certainly continental in origin - possibly Made in Germany.
The price takes into condition the quality of the bag, its condition - and the "twinkle" factor.
It certainly looks much better in "real-life" than in my photographs.
