This is another lovely vintage paperweight - made in Scotland, possibly by Vasart Glass in the 1950s or early 1960s. The glass dome has a more grey tone to the glass - rather than being crystal clear - this grey tone is often found in Vasart weights.
There is no maker's cane to be seen in this weight, this is consistent with what you might find in Vasart examples.
There is a pale yellow ground, into which the millefiori canes are placed. There is a polished pontil mark on the base - and there are little signs of wear where the weight has been picked up and put back down over the years.
The paperweight has a central red and blue cane surrounded by a white rosette. There are eight ribbon latticino canes - with white, pink, and blue millefiori canes in each section.
The diameter at the widest point is 2 3/4 inches and the height is just over 2 1/4 inches.
No damages or scratches to the glass. Fair price for this fine vintage paperweight.
