This is another lovely vintage paperweight - made in Scotland, possibly by Vasart Glass in the 1960s. The glass dome has a more grey tone to the glass - rather than being crystal clear - this grey tone is often found in Vasart weights.
There is no maker's cane to be seen in this weight, this is consistent with what you might find in early Vasart examples.
There is an attractive powder-blue ground, into which the millefiori canes are placed. This is polished on the base - and there are little signs of wear - where the weight has been picked up and put back down over the years.
There is a central white cane surrounded by pink canes in an open circle. There are 8 ribbon latticino canes forming full-length spokes - with blue, pink and bright red millefiori canes in each section.
The diameter at the widest point is 2 3/4 inches and the height is just over 2 inches.
There are no damages or scratches to the glass. It is a fair price for this fine vintage paperweight.
