This is another fine vintage Steiff Bear. He is another classic bear (looking back at the design of an early 1908 bear - he has very long arms and a pronounced hump). My teddy has movable joints, long honey-coloured mohair fur and felt pads on his four paws.. He has a white label and button in his ear. He has little black glass eyes and dark brown stitched nose.
I especially love this one as he has a growler and makes a bear-like noise when tilted!
Mr Bear is from a Limited Edition, exclusive to U.K. and Ireland Steiff Collectors and issued as only 4000 pieces. He comes in his original and has his original box. His issue number is 02786 - as annotated on his ribbon in his ear and on the certificate. He is approximately 35 cm in height.
It is certainly a lovely bear - and of course in lovely clean "as-new" condition with no smells or dust on his fur (as with all my bears on my website). You will not be disappointed with it.
This classic bear is a slightly larger size He is just over 11 inches (28 cm) in height. He comes with his original box and a Steiff Collectors Club leaflet.
He is Issue No. 660726. He is a lovely vintage bear which replicates the original one first issued back in 1909. This particular model is now retired. He comes with a little "Steiff Boutique" box which contains a little metal Steiff badge, as photographed.
