This is a collectable piece of late Caithness Glass, and probably an item for the specialist collector of Scottish Glass.

A selection of these designs feature in an advert in Mark Hill's publication "Caithness Glass. Loch, Heather & Peat" - page 125.

The advert reads as follows: Elegant Art Nouveau inspired shapes set against a flame red or neutral sand exterior create a dramatic exterior when teamed with a black interior.... styled to give an oriental feel.

My tall flared one is 8 3/4 inches and weights just over 1.1 kg grams.

A lovely piece of late 20th century Scottish glass - it retains its: Caithness Hand Crafted in Scotland Sticker towards the rim.

No damages or any kind, and is certainly a fine and harder to find piece of Scottsh glass.

Generally on these pieces you find that the rim section is quite fragile and more often than not you will find chips to the rim section. This is just fine.
