How cute - this is a collectable little 1960s figurine of a little boy ski-ing - he is shown on a pair of brown skis and sliding down an icy white slope. He wears a peach coloured pixie hat and his matching peach coloured scarf blows in the wind.
This wee winter sports model was originally created by the sculptor Reinhold Unger in 1936. This one was created slightly later in date.
He is 5 1/4 inches in height.
This little model has the printed Hummel mark on the base which dates it to 1960 to 1963. It has an incised model number: 59. It also has an incised signature mark along the side of the sloping base.
The little figurine is in excellent condition and is now 60 years old. He retains his original wooden skis.
Listed at a fair price.
