This wee 1950s desk top calendar is now very collectable.
It is a perpetual calendar - so once you have this one - you can change and adapt it so that it can be used every year.
These are now getting increasingly difficult to find - and my one is in excellent vintage condition.
It dates to 1953 and was made to commemorate the Coronation of Queen Elizabeth. The calendar features an image of the Queen on horseback - riding side-saddle. Around her are a selection of flags and patriotic crests and shields.
It is just over 6 1/2 inches in height. The calendar is made of cream-coloured textured bakelite-type plastic and the front of it is covered with glass to keep it clean. Any white marks in my photographs - are reflections caused by the glass.
As you can see from my photographs - it is in good, clean vintage condition and all the dials to control the windows on the front of the calendar are present. The stand for popping on your desk is also present and it stays upright and firm. The dates are changed by four knobs on the back of the calendar which moves a wheel to the desired day, date, and month.
As mentioned these calendar souvenirs in lovely condition are now much sought after - and this is reflected in my asking price - which is a fair one.
I am charging UK Postage at £4.95 with Royal Mail Recorded Post. I am also able to send it out internationally - but sadly not to EU countries.
