This is a lovely and very collectable mirrored wall-mounted mirror and splashback.
It dates to the 1930s and is made from a shiny thick black Vitrolite.
It has a mirror attached to the top on a swivel or pivot mechanism which you can move around to angle when you are looking into it.
It also has a chrome toothbrush holder, mug holder, and a clear glass shelf onto which you can place all your bathroom accessories. The chrome is in good condition - as is the mirror. The condition is reflected in my asking price - these are now very much sought-after interior fittings for a bathroom.
As you can see from my photographs it is in good vintage condition with no chips, cracks, or other issues. Due to all the reflections from the tilting mirror section and the black glass which was also very shiny - it has been rather difficult to photograph this splashback.
Often, you find these glass splashbacks have chips to the glass or tarnish to the chrome - but my one is free from these - hence the price.
It has actually come from my own private collection - and sadly did not fit back into my bathroom after my recent refurbishment work.
It measures 76 x 55.5 cm. The mirror is 25.5 x 33 cm and the shelf is 46 x 12.5cm. The black glass splashback is 6mm thick.
