This is an attractive and much sought-after Western German Coffee / Tea Set.
It dates to the 1960s and it was made by the Waechtersback Company.
The designer was Ursula Fesca (1900 - 1975). Her work is hard to find and much sought after - the price for my set is a fair one - and reflects that the set is complete, in excellent vintage condition, and is in a rare pattern.
It is a full set consisting of the following: The stylish tea or coffee pot - with its metal swing handle and teak carry handle at the top. The milk and sugar jug (both plain blue to the exterior and following the colour on the pot lid). Six shiny blue saucers - these are flat with no ring to contain the cups - but this is how they were designed and original to the set. Six shallow cups - with the red and blue abstract pattern found on the pot and side plates. And finally, six side plates that are decorated with the funky geometric pattern.
All items are in good condition with no chips or cracks. All nice and shiny - with no cutlery marks on the surface - as nice a set as you might care to find. I have taken lots of images for your inspection. They are all fine pieces with great skill in the making - love the contrast between the glossy blue glazes on the top and on the underside - egg-shell matt blue glaze.
Due to the extensive size of the set and its weight - we would have to restrict the postage of this item to the UK only. The postage will be capped at £10 and this will be applied to your order at the checkout.
