This is a lovely little Aldermaston Pottery bowl. It is an adorable piece of 1980s British Studio Pottery to add to your collection.
I love the shape of this piece - and the subtle application of purple, pink and claret-coloured glazes. The purple colour on the outside is more of a plum-blue shade than indicated in my images.
It is a beautiful little piece of art pottery, You won't be disappointed with it and indeed it looks so much better in "real life" than in my photos.
It does not have any marks on the base - but came to me with another small collection of Aldermaston pieces in my online shop - and it has an old collector's handwritten paper label on the base, as photographed.
The Aldermaston Pottery was founded in Berkshire in the 1950s by Caiger-Skith and Geoffrey Eastop. Over the years the studio has been home and training ground for many fine British art potters.
The pottery is best known for its fine tin-glaze wares.
Height is just under 2 1/4 inches. The diameter at the base is just over 2 inches and the diameter at the top is just over 4 1/2 inches.
It will cost £5.50 to send to you in the UK. This will be with Royal Mail Recorded and this will be applied to your order at the checkout.
