This is a fabulous mid-century lidded tureen or serving bowl. It is a rare survivor and this is reflected in my asking price.
I have two matching ones available in my shop. THIS LISTING IS JUST FOR THE ONE TUREEN.
They have a fabulous geometric pattern and the design is called HAWAII.
I have a small selection of Hawaii serving plates and bowls etc in my Iconic Edinburgh online store - I would look at getting good postage quotes for you if you wish more than one item from my shop.
The pattern was designed in the early 1950s and has a fresh modern feel to the design synonymous with many Festival of Britain-inspired decorations. The design features a sprig of exotic leaves and a glossy overglaze red decorative band. The shape of the ceramics is the popular Stylecraft one.
As you can see - this is a really stylish and highly collectable pattern - and this 50s pattern is now becoming a much harder to find one.
This tureen is in very good vintage condition - with no chips, cracks or stains. It has a little bit of light crazing (of minor nature) on the lid - the base is just fine with no issues. To reflect the craquelure on the lid - the price has been reduced. (STOCK CODE B).
Dimensions: The height is 4 inches. The diameter is 8 1/2 inches
The weight of a single tureen is 900 grams.
UK Postage will be £5.50 and applied to your order at the checkout. It will be sent with Royal Mail Recorded Delivery.
