This is one of three antique Victorian paperweights that I currently have in my store.
It takes the form of a glass dump - with a green tinge to the glass (as you might find in old antique bottles). Inside there is a representation of a single flower head - like a petunia. This is formed from very dark brown-black and yellow swirls - and there is a single stem of yellow glass that is surrounded by air bubbles. There is an unpolished pontil mark on the base. This one is in excellent antique condition - with no chips or dings.
These weights were very popular with Victorians - and they often featured yellow flowers, fountain shapes or were large ones with simple bubble inclusions.
They are still collectable desktop or decoration items for period interiors.
The height is about 2 1/2 inches. The diameter is 3 inches.
I have priced these up at a very fair price.
It will cost £4.95 to send to you with Royal Mail Recorded Delivery which will be applied to your order at the checkout.
